Owl-oween greetings from Germany
Since it is October, I started getting more in the Halloween spirit and added some more cards to my Halloween collection. Here is a cat from Germany. I got this wonderful card from Lidia. The cat looks very maniacal and mischievous. Danke, Lidia!

Great news! Furry card from Germany.
Hello!
After my first card sadly got lost somewhere between Germany and the US, Laura agreed to send me another fake fur card from Germany! She was kind enough to resend it after I have patiently waited 2 months for it. She sent it at the same time as the foam card, so the whereabouts remain a mystery. Thanks, Laura!

Welcome to July!
Apologies to all my readers (or reader) for the delay! I have actually not set up any new swaps either because of a hectic workload. The good thing is that I get great overtime! The bad is that my postcard hobby has slowed down majorly. Right now, I am averaging 1 swap a week, and it's mainly people on postcrossing.com approaching me with offers. I send a few through the official site now and then, but I am behind on my goal of 10/month through postcrossing official. Now that I have transitioned to a full-time position, I cherish my free time much more!
Not by coincidence, I did not write during the world cup. I was ecstatic when Germany won against Argentina. I did a swap shortly after their win with someone in Germany, and they were able to send me a world cup (Weltmeister) stamp. This 3D card also has the coats of arms of the federal states (Bundesländer) in Germany. Can you recognize any? Thanks for the wonderful card, Hanna!

Special material card made of foam!
I received a pleasant surprise, after about two weeks, and I would guess some rough travel, it finally made it to my mailbox! Laura writes that it was a lot tougher to write on foam than she thought! Glad the postcard and message made it to me, though! Thing like this make me miss Germany and their wider variety of postcards available. For the mean time, I will have to travel through postcards!

Lottery winning from Germany!
I love entering lotteries because usually a beautiful card is given as a prize. I won a lottery in the postcrossing forum and was lucky to get a lighthouse card with a matching stamp! What a great addition to my collection.

Handstitched postcard from Germany!
Hello!
Mondays are a drag to get through, but thankfully postcards can save the day!
Today I received 7 bundles/cards, including an official one from postcrossing. But I want to make the first post about a very special card. This was a handmade card, the border is hand stitched and the paper looks very cool!
Thank you so much, Ramona! I can feel the love that was put into the card.

Hanseatic city, Lübeck
When I lived in Lüneburg, I took a trip up to Lübeck. Lübeck is known for its marzipan factory. It was also part of an old league called the Hanseatic league made up of very powerful cities in the middle ages/medieval times. They used to trade things with one another. The town I used to live in, Lüneburg, Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony), used to be one on the main rich cities. But I will save that for when I show a postcard from Lüneburg (I have many!) I have been through this city gate and old town square, it was quite a cute town. I also had herring at a restaurant in Lübeck, and realized that herring is awful and I hate it. Thank you, Sandra for bringing back memories!

Easter stamp from Germany
No tricks today! Only treats in my mailbox so far!
Yesterday I sent out about 15 swaps! I have to be honest that I will have to slow down on swaps because I have more money going out than in! It'll also help me keep track of the cards I get and give me more time to catch up on the cards I need to blog about.
Yesterday I got two envelopes, one from Australia and another from Germany. I will write about the German envelope first.
I've always wanted a German map card, so I finally have it! I have also started collecting Jetoy cat cards. They were sent to me about a year ago and I had no idea what they were, but I think they are too cute. The envelope also has a special Easter stamp that says "Frohe Ostern"- happy easter. Thank you, Mona!
