A good friend of mine lives in Guatemala and makes occasional trips to Honduras. Honduras is a hard to get country, so she gets a high number of requests whenever she goes. As always, I wish her safe travels to wherever she goes and hope she gets to go to many new places soon! Thanks, Ale!

Cards from Denmark
Hi Hans! I hope you have stuck around long enough to see your cards on my blog! My deepest apologies! But here are the beautiful cards Hans has sent me in the past few weeks. Hans got in touch with me after he saw my name on a blog for a lottery. It was completely unexpected, but I am glad we swapped. Thanks for the swaps, Hans! I also love the beautiful stamps he sent along with the cards! I have seen the little mermaid statue and it was such a cool little landmark. Denmark was a great country to visit as well!

Magnet card from China
I received a lovely card from a chinese opera - and it is a magnet! Very cool, it is a lot lighter than I thought it would be! It is very flexible and does indeed stick to the fridge. Very cool card to have in my collection. Thanks, Irene!
Cats from Lincolnshire, UK
I got this fun card from the UK. It's cats having a sort of tea time. I chose this card over a few others that Wei had of landmarks. I regret nothing. Thanks for the swap, Wei!
Welcome to July!
Apologies to all my readers (or reader) for the delay! I have actually not set up any new swaps either because of a hectic workload. The good thing is that I get great overtime! The bad is that my postcard hobby has slowed down majorly. Right now, I am averaging 1 swap a week, and it's mainly people on postcrossing.com approaching me with offers. I send a few through the official site now and then, but I am behind on my goal of 10/month through postcrossing official. Now that I have transitioned to a full-time position, I cherish my free time much more!
Not by coincidence, I did not write during the world cup. I was ecstatic when Germany won against Argentina. I did a swap shortly after their win with someone in Germany, and they were able to send me a world cup (Weltmeister) stamp. This 3D card also has the coats of arms of the federal states (Bundesländer) in Germany. Can you recognize any? Thanks for the wonderful card, Hanna!

Selamat from Brunei!
Selamat!
Today I feature a card I got from Brunei! Brunei is a small country amongst Indonesia and Malaysia.
This card features one of the most memorable landmarks, the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque. The dome is indeed made of pure gold. There is a boat in front of the mosque which makes it seem like it's floating on water. Thanks, Saedah!
Mosque card from Turkey
Hello everyone!
Today, I also feature I card I won from a contest about why Turkey would be a great place to visit. I won this card because I wrote how great it would be to see the mish mash of cultures, east meets west, and the stories I've heard about the locals being so kind. Houston also opened a major hub for Turkish Airlines, so it is very tempting to book a flight there!
Canan sent this great card. It's absolutely beautiful, thanks again!

Almost 20 days, but not three weeks! Featuring: I like to move it, a card from Madagascar.
Hello everyone!
I started a new job earlier this month (full time) so now I have very little time for swaps! I enjoyed being underemployed for as long as I was, but it's time to get on a stepping stone for the rest of my career. Anyway, in that time period, I received many wonderful cards. It's been three weeks and i'm now getting the hang of balancing work/life. The next few posts will be of cards I have received, mostly from hard to get countries, but I will get to the pretty ones from common countries soon!
Today's card came from Madagascar! I got really lucky one time because the sender (Haya) had not received any cards from the USA and she was looking for her missing countries. I was actually up at 4am (there are sometimes when I get woken up really easily, anyone else get that too? I think it might be between REM cycles, who knows). I agreed to swap and got an awesome shaped card! I also love lemurs, and they are endemic to Madagascar. Thanks again, Haya!

Mail from Qatar
Another addition to my Middle East collection came in today! This card came in from Qatar and features the olympic rings for hosting the Asian games, and the Aspire tower in the background. Great view, thanks for the card, Ivy!
Sunny postcard from Sri Lanka
Hello!
I was lucky enough to receive a card from Sri Lanka! I was contacted by someone on the postcrossing official site for a swap. Shimla mentioned she was new to swapping, so it was great to help someone out by expanding their collection. Thanks a million, Shimla! This is my first postcard from Sri Lanka, and I am expecting another one soon!
